Common Wear and Tear of Crawler Bulldozers "Four Wheels And One Belt"
Dec. 23, 2020
The walking mechanism of the Crawler Bulldozer carries the full weight of the bulldozer. Responsible for the driving function of the bulldozer. The main damage form is wear. This damage form is concentrated in the following contact parts: the outer surface of the drive wheel tooth and the track pin sleeve; the guide wheel and the track link track surface of the track; the support wheel and the track link track The surface; the track surface of the sprocket wheel and the track link of the track; the contact surface of the track pin and the pin sleeve; the track shoe and the ground.
1. Wear of the track
In the walking mechanism of the dry crawler, the crawler is not lubricated, causing wear between the crawler pin and the pin sleeve due to relative movement during the working process. The wear between the pin and the pin sleeve in the track is unavoidable and normal, but this wear will make the pitch of the track extend and make the track too large. This wear and tear continues. The crawler will move sideways, which will cause the wear of the guide wheels, supporting wheels, sprocket wheels, drive gear teeth and other components, and at the same time increase the wear of the track pins and sleeves. The wear of the crawler is also manifested in the reduction in the height of the crawler spurs due to the contact between the crawler shoes and the ground, and the crawler chain rail links caused by the contact between the track surface of the crawler chain track and the guide wheels, sprocket wheels, and support wheels. The height reduction. Severe wear of the track shoes will cause the loss of the traction of the bulldozer.

2. Wear of driving wheels
The wear of the gear teeth of the driving wheel often occurs on the root, front and rear sides, left and right sides and top of the gear teeth. When the Bulldozer travels forward and the gear teeth support the track pin sleeve, the wear occurs on the front side of the gear teeth; conversely, when the bulldozer travels backward, the wear occurs on the rear side of the gear teeth. When the track is too loose, the track will deviate, and the gear teeth will impact the side of the chain track section, which will cause the wear of the drive wheel. Another form of wear on the teeth of the drive wheel is top wear. Top wear occurs when the gear teeth of the track and the drive wheel are stuffed with viscous material, and the meshing relationship between the gear teeth of the drive wheel and the track pin sleeve is changed. When the bulldozer travels forward, it will mark the apex of the tooth back on the drive side of the drive wheel and the side of the pin sleeve.
3. Wear of guide wheels
The wear of the guide wheel is caused by contact with the raceway surface of the chain rail section, and the wear of the convex width of the guide wheel body is caused by the contact with the side surface of the chain rail section. It is manifested as: the reduction of the convex width of the guide wheel; the reduction of the diameter of the raceway surface of the guide wheel; the reduction of the diameter of the guide wheel.
4. Wear of carrier wheels
The wear of the sprocket wheel is caused by contact with the raceway surface of the chain track section. The performance is as follows: the width of the flange of the carrier wheel is reduced; the outer diameter of the carrier wheel raceway surface is reduced; the outer diameter of the carrier wheel flange is reduced.
5. Wear of support wheels
The wear of the supporting wheel is the same as the wear of the supporting wheel and the guide wheel, and it is also caused by contact with the raceway surface of the chain track section. The specific manifestations are: reduction in the diameter of the outer flange; reduction in the diameter of the raceway surface; reduction in the diameter of the bilateral inner flange; reduction in the width of the bilateral inner flange; and reduction in the width of the outer flange.
